SOL CHIQUITO PICUAL EVOO PET BOTTLE OF 5 L 2020/2021 CAMPAIGN
Sol Chiquito Picual Extra Virgin Olive Oil 5L (lot 100- 2021). Thanks to its organoleptic characteristics, its low acidity, peroxide index and its purity, is an ideal oil for a day to day use in your kitchen.
This extra virgin olive oil of the picual variety, presents a medium fruitiness dominated by the green olive leaf aroma. It has a medium bitterness and a slight spiciness, very characteristic of the picual variety of mountain areas.
ACIDITY AND PEROXIDE INDEX
Both the acidity and the peroxide index of a virgin olive oil are parameters that measure its quality, hence the lower the value of both, the higher the quality of the oil. The maximum limits allowed for an extra virgin olive oil are 0.8 (% oleic acid) in acidity and 20 (O2 / kg mequivalents). For this oil at the time of its analysis, these indexes were only 0.19 (% oleic acid) and 2.9 (O2 / kg mequivalents) respectively, which is indicative of the quality of this oil.
SOL CHIQUITO ROYAL EVOO 500ML – 2020/2021 HARVEST
Early harvest extra virgin olive oil, coming from olives of the royal variety milled on October 19, 20 and 21, 2020.
This EVOO has an intense green and ripe fruitiness where the dominant aromas of tomato, chamomile and walnut harmonises. It presents an almost imperceptible bitterness and a medium spiciness, which evokes the fresh sensation of aromatic herbs such as basil or mint.
SOL CHIQUITO ARBEQUINA EVOO 500 ML- 2020/2021 HARVEST
Early harvest extra virgin olive oil, coming from olives of the arbequina variety milled on October 24 and 26, 2020.
This EVOO has an intense fruitiness dominated by the aroma of green banana, after which the smells of ripe fruit -apple- and nuts -hazelnut and pine seed- appear. This is a sweet oil, devoid of bitterness and with a slight spiciness.

Early harvest extra virgin olive oil of the picual variety milled on October 19, 20 and 21, 2020
This oil has an intense fruitiness dominated by the green aromas of fig, olive leaf, artichoke, pepper and green almonds. More bitter than spicy, mouth can appreciate the density of a full-bodied olive oil. Highlighted by retronasal the aroma of olive leaf above the rest, all of them green, of this equilibrated and complex olive oil.
SOL CHIQUITO ALTOFENOL PICUAL ECOLOGICAL EVOO 500 ml – 2020/2021 HARVEST
Extra virgin olive oil, coming from olives of the picual variety of ecological production, milled with the suitable maturity index on October 29 and 30, 2020, elaborated in the precise conditions to obtain a high content in polyphenol.
In the nose this oil has an intense fruitiness dominated by the green aromas of fig, olive leaf, and eucaliptus with a ripe background of apple and chamomile. It presents a medium spicy and an intense bitter, as it corresponds to an extra virgin olive oil with such a high phenolic content.
