INTEGRAL ADVICE IN OLIVE GROVE
In Agraria OLEARUM we advise in the implementation, development and maintenance of the olive grove to optimize the profitability of its exploitation.
- Analysis of soil, irrigation water and leaves for the calculation of the fertilizing necessities.
- Integral plans of fertirrigation based on the estimated annual harvest and irrigation needs.
- Monitoring and controlling olive related plagues and diseases.
- Determining the optimum time to harvest according to the established objectives of quality and production.
- Supply of fertilizer and phytosanitary treatments.
ANALYSIS OF SOIL, IRRIGATION WATER AND LEAVES
We perform a sample collection of the soil, irrigation water and leaves, and manage their analysis. The results obtained are essential for the planning of the irrigation and fertilization of the olive grove and constitute the base to evaluate the necessities of the irrigation water and the nutrients along the cultivation cycle. We take into account the contribution of the micro and macronutrients of the irrigation water and the contribution of the mineralization of organic matter.
With the monitoring in the field of the olive grove state, the progressive adjustments in the estimation of the harvest and the observation of possible nutritional shortages, we adjust the harvest plan to the nutritional necessities of the crop along the vegetative cycle.
MONITORING AND CONTROLLING OLIVE RELATED PLAGUES AND DISEASES
We monitor the indices of plague attacks and diseases on field, to determine if it is necessary to perform phytosanitary treatments. This way, only when said indices exceed the economic damage threshold will we perform the treatments. Therefore, we avoid unnecessary remedies, reducing the costs of harvest and the environmental impact, and maximizing the efficiency of those treatments that are strictly necessary for the control of a plague or a disease.
Regular visits are made to the farm to check the phytosanitary state of them.
DETERMINING THE OPTIMUM TIME TO HARVEST
The olive sample collection in the moments close to harvesting will allow us to project the evolution of the greasy yield on dry basis to determine the optimum time to harvest to maximize production.
Conversely, the extraction of olive oil from the olive sample will allow us to define the organoleptic profiles for those olive producers which are also extra virgin olive oil producers. Said organoleptic profiles vary every year according to the climate, and according to the water balance of the plants and the variety and type of soil in different areas. We are expert olive oil tasters and we can help you make the decision to produce the sensorial profile you look for in your oils.
