SOL CHIQUITO ALTOFENOL PICUAL ECOLOGICAL EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL 500 ml – NEW HARVEST 2020

CONTENT OF BIOPHENOLS

This ecological extra virgin olive oil has been obtained from olives of the picual variety with the suitable maturity index and selected from olive trees with clay soils, a southern exposure and subjected to hydric déficit, in order to achieve a high content in polyphenols (854,9 mg/kg), which are substances with antioxidant and anti-inflamatory effects and anti-tumor properties, responsable for most of an EVOO  healthy effects.

To give the dimenssion of the high content in polyphenols of this olive oil, suffice it to say that the european normative allows that the sentence “The olive oil polyphenols contributes to the lipids protection of blood against oxidative damage” can be included in the labelling of an olive oil with high polyphenols content, which is set on 250mg/kg, while our Sol Chiquito altofenol picual ecological presents a 854,9 mg/kg content, which means 3,4 times more tan the content fixed by the EU.

In the EU nº 432/2012 Regulation of the Comission it is stablished that 20gr (one spoon and a half) is the minnimun daily EVOO intake with the minimmun leve lof 250mg/kg in order to the polyphenols to make his beneficial effect. In case of our early harvest Sol Chiquito altofenol picual ecological, this beneficial effect would be reched with less tan 6gr.

TASTING INFORMATION

This oil has an intense fruitiness dominated by the green aromas of fig, olive leaf, and eucaliptus with a ripe background of apple and chamomile. It presents a medium spicy and an intense bitter, as it corresponds to an extra virgin olive oil with such a high phenolic content.
